Long-distance move from Brooklyn, NY to Los Angeles, CA

The absolute worst. Stay away!

Actually, it is very difficult to write a review of CR7 Moving because the service was so unbelievably horrible, and the furniture damage and financial loss were so extensive, it is not easy to express. Aftwr more than one year after my cross-country move from Brooklyn, NY to Los, Angeles, CA, I still look at the tremendous damage that CR7  caused to my furniture: a newly purchased platform bed, dining room set, and sofa bed, and several bookshelves that were in perfect physical condition until in the hands of CR7.

First, CR7 and whichever moving broker who sends them to do your move, will certainly take advantage of you by doubling the price of the estimate. Estimates should be close to the original price quoted, not 100% more on the day of the move. It's certainly a financial kick-back scheme, of which I'm sure that CR7 would deny, but it is. CR7 takes advantage of the circumstance that you have agreed to relinquish your apartment or sell your home; therefore, you have to move and have no choice but to pay. When I look at things in retrospect, I would have been better-off by remaining in place and suffering the consequences of not moving, instead of incurring the massive financial loss and damage to my furniture. I just did not know how horrible CR7's moving service would be.

In fact, the movers were inexperienced and novices at packing, disassembling, and reassembling furniture and personal items. It seemed as if the movers were just given a moving job without any training or experience. ALL of my furniture was poorly disassembled and poorly packed with little to no padding, leading to severe damage to newly purchased furniture. Also, during the move-out day, the movers caused damage to my building's elevator, and instead of informing me, disposed of broken parts of the elevator in my apartment building's trash. CR7 ignored the issue when addressed to them by phone or email.

Additional, my clothes, particularly business attire, jackets and coats, were thrown into what was supposed to be garment boxes in which I paid for. To make matters worse, their staff searched through the boxes at some point and stole expensive clothes.

One would think that for the excessive amount CR7 charges for storage, that your items would be well taken care of. It was not. It took several months for me to receive all of my items, and some were never delivered or were finally delivered with missing parts. When I received my belongings, it looked as if it had been through a storm. Neatly packed items in brand new boxes looked a total mess and were filled with broken items. Absolutely unacceptable and unbelievable!

Of course, CR7 would state that it offers insurance but the insurance does not nearly cover damages, missing items and stolen clothes in the least when coverage is based solely on the weight of items. Full coverage was not even discussed or offered simply because CR7 doesn't want to be obligated to pay it. Still, the main purpose of hiring a mover is not to have to file insurance claims for your items, it is to have your items delivered in the best possible condition, or for them to reach its intended destination and not be lost without any reasonable explanation as to what happened to them. CR7 failed miserably. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT. I STILL REGRET IT. ONE OF THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCES EVER AND A HUGE FINANCIAL LOSS FOR ME!

Long-distance move from West New York, NJ to Falls Church, VA

Overcharged during COVID.

We were charged $8,675 last month to move a 2-bedroom apartment from NJ to VA. According to other reviews on this site, this number was about 4 times higher than what others were charged for interstate moves of similarly-sized homes. We can't help but conclude that CR7 is experiencing financial difficulty during the health pandemic and decided to overcharge in order to bring in extra revenue.

Our original estimate (conducted by a company called Safebound Moving and Storage) was $3,900. On the day of the move, the foreman told us that we had 3 times the amount of items than what was estimated and that our cost would be $8,675. This seemed quite high, but we were stuck because we were beginning jobs in VA and managing a 14-month old. We asked the movers to wear protective masks, but only one of them had one.

The movers damaged several items and were incompetent. In no particular order of importance, here are the highlights of this disaster:

- The movers argued with us about reassembling specific pieces of furniture, such as our dining room table. They loosely re-attached the table legs, and we had to screw them back on ourselves. In addition, they did not put the feet of our couches back on. We had to flip over the couch and attach those ourselves. Finally, our dresser’s mirror was only attached on one side, leaving it wobbly and hazardous.

- The movers asked for an assembly manual when taking apart our bed because they did not know how to do it. Upon reassembly, we discovered the following issues:

- Two of the bed’s legs were broken off. One of them was placed in our son’s bookcase, seemingly an attempt to hide evidence. The other leg is nowhere to be found.

- One of the bed’s side drawers is completely off its track and does not close properly.

- There are various nicks, scratches, and dents on the wood.

- Our new apartment’s floor was scratched, for which we will be liable.

- One of our wall painting frames was not wrapped properly and suffered a sizable chip in its frame

- In the same box was a mirrored hanging jewelry box, a hanging wall mirror and several glass picture frames. All were unprotected (not even paper), seemingly thrown together in the box. Both the jewelry box and mirror were damaged.

- One of three legs of a clay sculpture was broken off and had to be glued back on.

- At one point we heard glass rattling around in a piece of furniture that was being moved, so we asked them to stop so that we could look inside. Two vases were unwrapped and moving around inside the cabinet. They had moved our cabinet with unwrapped, fragile items inside.

- When we confronted them, their rationale was that we left some of our clothing in our dresser, which, in their minds, meant that leaving glass vases inside of a cabinet was acceptable.

Overall, an awful experience. I would suggest you look elsewhere if considering CR7.

Our customers have always been priority. We are concerned about your complain, as we have tried contacting you via telephone to explain the price you were previously charged.

We have not over-charged you. Your Moving job was 1,800 cubic feet (a full truck). As our company's rules, we charge by measurements not a random price quote. All prices charged have been written on your Bill of Lading and your inventory. For any damaged items we will provide you with the claims department contact information to reimburse any item.

Total Scoundrels - Destroyed my property.

DO NOT TRUST this moving company with you home!! I hired the company for a cross country move from NYC to Minnesota. They destroyed so much of my property, it felt like they did it on purpose:BOXES CRUSHED, BROKEN DISHES (so many glass pieces I actually cut my finger!!), DAMAGED PICTURES, DESTROYED FURNITURE. It's hard to understand how so much damage was even possibly. When I called them to complain, the guy I spoke with didn’t seem at all surprised, offered no concern or apology, and quickly dumped me on some outsourced claims company. I have not heard from anyone from the company since. I emailed the company, and received no response. I've never in my life experienced such lack of professionalism and really just total indifference. DO NOT HIRE!! Spare yourself the disaster.

Long-distance move from Brooklyn, NY to Irvine, CA

Horrible experience/Crooks.

I would never have paid Cr7 to move me across country during a Pandemic. I mistakenly paid a company, Razor Moving Vans, to move me but they turned out to be brokers and not movers. So they booked Cr7 and when Cr7 showed up a day late they said it was going to be $3000 over the estimate. When I called Razor Moving Vans to advise they said I signed a contract and hung up on me. When Cr7 delivered my belongings I have never seen property in worse condition and I have moved 9 times in the last 20 years. Boxes were open with other peoples belongings in them. Furniture was missing. Furniture was broken. In fact a box had been delivered to another family in another city. I was overcharged for the worst service I've ever had in my life and all during a Pandemic. Which I can't help but ignore how horribly I' have been treated during such a stressful time by both cpmanies- Razor Van Lines + CR7. Do not trust or use either of these companies.

I understand you were not aware that you were contacting a Household moving broker agency before we initially got hired by the broker to complete your moving job. As we have discussed in the previous emails, we are willing to reimburse any damages your items may have had. I provided you with the Claims Service International Department information and they will guide you through in how to file a claim and receive your reimbursement check.

If I could give 0 stars, I would

So many things went wrong with this company CR7 Moving And Storage. They loaded all of our items then told us it would be an extra $$$ because we “went over our estimate” even though we had previously listed everything going to be moved. Had no choice but to pay the extra as they were already on the truck. ALL of the items packed by the company arrived broken. Filing a claim with them is purposely difficult, could not complete the claim because of the way the form is set up online. They refuse to accept an email claim with photos and descriptions. Absolutely do not use this company!!

Scam Company -Move NJ to Texas

The worst experience of my life. Everything that they moved was either damaged, lost or broken. I found this company online and someone who I did not know was a broker gave me a quote. This price was increased twice including on the day of the move when it was increased to triple the initial quote. There was no communication while items were in transit and items arrived a week later than promised. The driver was beyond rude apparently his children ages 21 and 15 are the only employees and only the 15 year old spoke English. My concerns regarding my property had to be addressed to the 15 year old. My furniture and boxes were crammed into the back of the truck. My marble table top was destroyed as was the chaise lounge where tape was placed and the dye removed. Every box was crushed. All of the plastic bins that I had purchased were broken. Many of my boxes and a couple of chairs never arrived. I filed a claim with their insurance company in May and to this day, 7/19/2021 have never received a response. If I could give no stars that would be more accurate than one star.

All charges are strictly made by cubic feet measurement. If you have covered up more space within the truck while the items have been loaded onto the vehicle, your price will increase. Any damages that occur to your items during your household move will be reimbursed. You will be receiving a check from the company via mail. ( To the delivery address we have on file)

Long-distance move from New York, NY to Houston, TX

Price Hiked Quote, Late Delivery, Damaged Items, Fraud

This company "helped" me with an interstate move from NYC to Houston. When the contracted movers arrived to pack, they increased the price over 2x even though I had already compensated for extra items. The moving team did not seem to be vetted and they added on extra charges like $150 for bubble wrap (no items were bubble wrapped) and clothing boxes (all items were tossed in; not hung - and were subsequently damaged). However, this is not even the worst of it.

The contracted moving team subcontracted the job again and my items did not show up on the delivery date. They blamed it on their truck breaking down and gave me a sob story about how difficult it is to run a business and that I should just be patient. After a few days, they located my items and the new movers showed up... with someone else's items. They then had to go find my property which took another several hours of waiting.

When they finally arrived with my items, many of the boxes were damaged, unpackaged, and repackaged. They refused responsibility as they are "only brokers" and told me to file a claim with their contracted moving team, CR7 Movers. After discussing the damages with CR7, they told me to file a claim with CSI Pro, their insurance claims company.

After having to create an account with a significant amount of steps, CSI Pros took several weeks to work with me on filing a claim. After hours of effort, and utilizing the only pictures from the moving damages I had left, I submitted a claim and they notified me that it could take up to 120 days to get back to me. However, they assured me that they would update me when the claim was reviewed.

Months later, I received no update. I inquired to Ernesto at CSI Pros, who claimed that my case was closed due to "Lack of Interest". I asked him why I was not notified and never received a response. After logging back into my account and checking my claim, the insurance company stated that no one was responsible for damages.

In other words, the moving companies went through my boxes, damaged my property, and were late to dropping everything off after misplacing my possessions for days. One excuse about my broken printer was "technology breaks" and that I cannot prove my $650 printer was damaged in transit. They stated that they gave me a ~$12 check. And while I never received my ~$12 check, my damages were in the THOUSANDS.

In short, I wouldn't trust this company, CR7, or CSI Pros with a penny. Whether you have to move down the street or across the country, DO NOT USE THESE COMPANIES IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR PROPERTY.

Borderline Criminal Behavior

Avoid both Discount Van Lines and CR7 Moving and Storage.

DVL quotes around $3500, calls again and they raise the quote to around $4400. I figure 'OK, too much going on to get caught up on $1000 right now'...

BIG MISTAKE.

CR7 arrives with a rental and proceeds to double the quote, threatening to just drive off if I don't agree. The quote was complete garbage, but they catch you with your pants down at this point. I had a major move with over a month of planning, airline tickets, utilities, everything. I pay the extra $4000 they want or my whole life gets tipped upside-down.

Throughout this whole process the person walking me through the contract deliberately LIED to me, telling me only what I wanted to hear. I'm very busy so I sign each page not realizing that there's all this garbage hidden away in the tiny text.

I wanted a delivery date, they say 'YES OF COURSE 100%!'. The text says 'we have 30 days... business days'.

He tells me I need to sign an area to have basic insurance on my items, so I sign.

Then I look over it later and realize that it actually WAIVES the default insurance that I was NOT INFORMED ABOUT AT ALL.

The contract also says payment must be made before delivery and unloading, which is ILLEGAL. 100% grade A illegal.

At least they didn't jack the price up a 4th time...

The people loading my stuff had no idea what they were doing, tossing my boxes and handling them like wrestling opponents for no good reason. Literally expending more energy than it would take to gently and respectfully move other people's boxes.

So the stuff arrives LATE, at least it was only a few days, but it threw a massive wrench into our plans.

My desk was WWE smashed and dragged all over the place. This is a nice tough desk and it has a great big dent in it and it creaks when it didn't before!

At least my monitors made it but only because I triple wrapped them in super heavy duty bubble wrap from home depot.

My computer chair was clearly dragged along a dirty floor.

Someone put out a cigarette on my tower fan and then shoved it inside the fan grill.

My mini-fridge may not even work, it has a massive impact that ripped through the plastic wrap and the paint AND scratched the metal.

Half of my boxes had obvious damage.

All of my expensive baby gates had been dragged all over the place and are all horrible scuffed.

One of my premium folding chairs was smashed so hard that it's missing a foot. Those suckers are rated for 350 pounds, how do you even possibly break the foot off of that?!

Sheer incompetence is how. Stay far away from these two companies, they don't give a crap about you or your stuff.

I'm lucky that I put all my super important stuff in my car to be driven down by the in-laws, otherwise they could've destroyed so much more.

Partial Move from ME to WA.

The following is a review of an attempted move with CR7 Moving and Storage on October 11, 2019.

The crew that showed up on that Friday was unprofessional and tried to squeeze us for additional money. Also, the truck they brought for the pickup was in poor shape. The following is a brief summary of what made this a horrible experience and why we stopped the process with the movers:

1.The day before the move they called to let us know they would arrive between 11 AM and 1 PM.
They arrived at almost 6 PM.

2.When they backed up into my driveway a large amount of fluid (looks like diesel fuel) splashed all over the road and onto our driveway. The lower one quarter of my driveway is ruined.

3.Their driver/lead worker walked through the house with me to assess our load. When we finished, he stated that we had more than twice the estimated load (4700 pounds/671 cubic feet). I challenged him to prove it, but all he wanted to do is discuss price. He told me that my price would be $7,000 total (~2x the original estimate). I continued to challenge him because I had confirmed that the load would meet the estimates (via moving estimator websites) and if packed tightly there would be no issues fitting within the volume estimate. The driver would not look me in the eye throughout our discussion on this.

4.The driver had not weighed his vehicle and he did not know the dimensions of his truck, but he was certain I had more than twice the estimated load.

5.I tried to compromise, however, at that point he kept coming up with other potential charges/additional fees. I then became concerned that they would hold our load hostage until we paid even more money to get the goods released at the final destination.

6.I specifically asked the driver if I could take a picture of the load to confirm volume - he said no!

7.We eventually moved our items via two ReloCubes with U-Pack Services. Everything fit inside those cubes which measured 671 cubic feet and the final weight was~3000 pounds.

According to David A Leather's moving job, we did not complete it. We had drove 12 hours to the customers pick up location and they did not want to complete the job, it was cancelled on the pick up date. I understand David A. CR 7 Moving and Storage.

I selected United American Moving as a broker because they had a truck coming to my area and could give me a good price. The following day I called United to find out who the carrier was and told it had not been assigned. Two days later they selected CR 7 Moving and Storage as carrier. When CR 7 arrived their first order of business was to initiate a new estimate ignoring the previous estimate from United. A speaker phone call with United customer service revealed their estimate of 286cf was generated by computer program and ignored the detailed inventory with dimensions of each item furnished by myself. CR 7 was estimating 450cf after checking the items. A heated discussion followed between myself and the United representative when she suggested I had two choices. First take as much of the load that 286cf would provide or pay the extra as a bulky item charge. Neither the CR 7 foreman or the United representative had any knowledge of the detailed inventory furnished the United sales agent

To their credit the CR 7 personnel behaved like gentlemen while being caught in the middle of the exchange between myself and United. After hanging up on United the foreman and I agreed on a new total figure and the loading proceeded which was done in a very efficient and thorough manner. It appears United produced a low ball estimate to generate a broker fee with out regard to the impact on the carrier or customer.

I asked the CR 7 foreman If the load would be delivered on the same truck and three times he said yes. Two days after departure from my house I called the CR 7 office and was told the load was off loaded at the ware house and a truck for Michigan would be scheduled later in the week. Six days later, on a Sunday, the load arrived damaged in Michigan.

Both of these companies will tell you what you want to hear but ignore the promise when it comes to actual performance. United will lie about truck availability and quote any figure just to generate a broker fee. CR 7 takes a fly by night approach to transport and delivery.

DON'T TRUST EITHER COMPANY.

Long-distance move from Philadelphia, PA to Charleston, SC

Do Not Use This Company.

CR7 Moving and Storage was selected for me by a third party, SunFlower LLC for my move from a studio apartment in Philadelphia to Charleston, SC. SunFlower LLC estimated my belongings to be 428cf and transferred that information to CR 7. CR 7 was supposed to pick up my belongings on Monday and called at 6pm on Saturday and asked to pick up my belongings on Sunday at 11am. Thinking if I help them, they would help me, I obliged and finished packing 24 hours early than expected. They showed up at late at 2pm on Sunday. As other reviewers noted, they increased the cf to almost double (770cf) what I was quoted by SunFlower despite providing a detailed and accurate inventory. So my moving estimate went from $2100 total to $3800 in a matter of minutes. Further, they lied to me about additional costs, saying that they would waive the stair fee upon delivery and that they would bill me later for the packing materials however they included both charges in the total. Additionally, they lied to me over the phone saying that although Sunflower gave me a $650 discount, their discount of $500 was to cover the stair fee and that they could not provide the $150 difference despite previously telling me in person that they would waive the stair fee. Add insult to injury, the owner scoffed at me when I asked for a refund as they damaged several of my items. In particular, he said that I "should be grateful that it didn't take two weeks for my items to arrive." So if you want to be lied to, belittled, and overcharged, by all means, please use CR7. Otherwise, I would strongly encourage you to find alternative means for your move.

In regards to the customer's pick up we had arrived early in hope that the customer would benefit more from an early pick up. Also, our customer's price arrangement is strictly only charged by the measure of cubic feet they occupy when all household items are packed and stored in the truck. I would like to inform this customer to contact us via e-mail so I can provide the contact information she needs in order to file a claim for her items.

Awful.

I'm honestly very confused on how this company has so many positive reviews. They are awful, horrendous, devils. This was the broker company used for my move from NJ to ID. They promised a date, which was a lie and an inconvenience to them when I constantly called for an update. They were unprofessional in that they brought a dog , and were late to pick up my items. The driver at drop off was not qualified to drive the 16 wheeler and was beyond rude to the point he threatened to call the cops. My bed frame was lost and my bike was damaged and they even had the audacity to delay my reimbursement. I would pay people to stay away from this company. Your 90 year old grandpa would be more reliable than this company. Poor service, poor attitudes, and so happy that I no longer have to deal with them. I would recommend Mayflower, United or the pod company for your move.

Horrible Movers

Severely under-represented the cost of my move, and my final cost ended up twice as much as what I was quoted - I was quoted $1,700, and when I got a second call to double check my items, they quoted me $2,400. On the day of arrival, they charged me $3,300. In addition to this, I was also only given a 4-hour's notice for when they would arrive, though I had been told by two separate people that I would be given at least a day's notice. When the moving company finally delivered my things, they ruined all my furniture - someone literally tore off the legs of my desk, destroying the wood, and severely scratched, dented, and scraped my credenza. They also broke the glass of one of my paintings, and many of my boxes came torn and damaged. They operate by underquoting initially, not caring about damaging items, and expecting the claims company they work with to deal with whatever issues they cause. Extremely terrible experience.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $3300

Official company response

The reason the price was initially raised to $2,400 was due to the fact that the customer had more items at pick up than what was described in the job estimate's inventory. If you take up more space in cubic feet, the price range will increase. As for the damaged items we are willing to offer the customer the information she needs to complete and file a claim for her items and receive her reimbursement.

The total amount of $3,300 was charged for this household moving job. We do not control how much cubic feet the customer will cover without actually packing the items and storing everything inside the vehicle. If the customer surpasses the cubic feet that was listed then the price will increase as well. Other company's will charge in weight instead of cubic feet measurements which would of even resulted in a more expensive price. We are trying our best to accommodate our customers but also give them a fair price for the cubic ft that is being covered for their household moving job.

I looked at Evergreen Van Lines, LLC and they had great ratings. Apparently, they are brokers you farm out their work to other companies and CR7 is one. If I knew they were moving my furniture, I would have never used Evergreen. They tried to charge me four times the price I was quoted from Evergreen, so we agreed to a price that was double what I was quoted (I called other movers and Evergreen gave me the cheapest price). Not only were the late with dropping off my items, my items were damaged. The owner (Sal) was rude and did not want to resolve the issue. I wish I could give them a negative 5 star rating.

Official company response

I would like to specify that the first document you received regarding the price, is just an estimate. The document states it is an estimate in the document's title ( Job Estimate ). It is also nearly impossible to measure your items while discussing your items through a phone call. We provide you the exact price after loading your job into the truck and measure the exact cubic feet your items have covered. We tried our best to keep you informed of both the price and the pick up date / delivery date. Also our drivers always calls 24 hours prior to arriving to your pick up location or delivery location.

Awful people, broke many items

I don't even have words to explain how awful my experience was. They were a day late arriving to my apartment, even though they called me on the correct moving date and said they would be there in an hour. They just never showed up that day, I had to harass them to get a time they were going to arrive. Upon arrival they told me they were going to charge me over $1,000 what I was quoted. I was able to negotiate down a tiny, tiny bit. At the end of the pack, the movers told me I have to tip them, they drove all the way from New Jersey for me and they weren't leaving until I tipped them. After being charged $900 extra per our previous discussion, I was literally out of money, I had nothing left. I had to ask my boyfriend to come over and give them cash, they refused to leave without a tip.

There were many other problems during delivery in which I spoke to a man who claimed to be the warehouse manager and therefore he couldn't help me. So I asked to speak with the owner, the warehouse manager told me the owner is in Israel and "they don't answer their phones in the Middle East." I don't know who he is trying to fool, but I am not an idiot, I have many family members in the Middle East that are perfectly capable of answering phone calls. When the movers FINALLY arrived at my apartment, they emptied the truck and my television and a bunch of art was missing. They had to track the items down. They said they would overnight my items from where they ended up in Alabama. I asked several times to see a receipt to show a tracking number. The warehouse manager told me he spent $500 sending my items overnight. When I finally got the receipt, it was STANDARD SHIPPING and cost less than $100. He constantly lied, and for NO reason.

Once I got my tv and artwork ALL OF IT was damage beyond use. The movers also broke my bed frame either when they took it apart, or put it back together and they said NOTHING to me. They just left smiling and waving, only for me to find my bed broken later when I put the sheets on it.

It took 4 months for me to hear back from the claims department and even though this company broke thousands of dollars worth of items, I am getting $138 as compensation. I honestly feel like crying again just thinking about it.

Nothing I am saying here is an exaggeration and I am leaving out a lot of details because it would be way too long to write it out.

PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. I HAVE NEVER FELT SO DEMEANED AND USED IN MY LIFE.

We have tried various times to accommodate this customer's pricing so it can be fair for both her and our employees that have worked hard enough to complete this household moving job. As well as we have provided the customer with the Claims Service International Departments contact information so that the customer can receive a reimbursement check apart from all the discounts we have provided as well.

Absolutely awful moving company. DO NOT HIRE

Would give 0 stars if possible. Worst moving experience ever.

Paid over $5k for a cross-country move after being quoted $3k by Evergreen Van Lines. Movers were repeatedly delayed, wasting my whole weekend staying home and waiting for them. Movers ended up arriving late at night, and charged me extra after seeing stairs. Failed to assemble bed and promised someone from the company would call me the next day about having a professional come assemble (they didn’t call). I ended up assembling the bed myself (tired of sleeping on floor while waiting for movers to arrive) despite company advertising they would disassemble and assemble. On top of all of this, they lost one of my chairs and “cannot locate it.” No accountability from customer service reps.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5100

Official company response

The pricing on your first Job estimate is not the actual Bill for your household move. That is why it is named only a Job Estimate because the items for your household move have not been measured in cubic feet yet. The final price was stated in your Bill of Lading after all your items have been measured and loaded inside the vehicle assigned for your move. Regarding the item that you are missing, you are able to file a claim and receive your reimbursement.

I first contacted a company, Priority Home Relocation, Davie Florida, unknown to me, a broker, who passed me off to CR7. I never knew anything about CR7 until they were at my door. The originally price quote was $ 1800 by PHRL. I gave them a deposit of $ 800. CR7 shows up and tells me it'll be $ 3,500. I'm all packed and ready to go to Florida from New York. Have to pay right? CR7 is the worst. I was told my property would be to Florida in 3 days right. Nope, 10 days. We slept on the floor in an empty apartment for 10 days. Our stuff arrived and it was horrible. They snapped a leg off our antique desk, and broke many many other things. To top it off, there are many things we didn't receive. They want to pay 60 cents per pound of damage, but you have to go through a bunch of BS to get that. I'm not wasting anymore of my time or money with these scoundrels. I'm at a loss. Lessoned learned here.

NOT A MOVING COMPANY

If I could leave a 0 I would. Do not work with CR7 or Priority Home Relocation. They outsource to CR7. They will add random charges that you will have to fight to get taken off the bill of lading and deliver your items damaged.

All charges on your bill of lading are explained in the description next to each amount. We only do corresponding charges for the services that we provide. Your household move was the total of $2,200 even though it has been a cross country move. We have tried our best to accommodate our pricing to your favor. Also regarding any damaged items, your are able to file a claim and receive your reimbursement. All you have to do to begin your claim process is contact us via email.

Do not recommend

The company was hard to contact. Kept on hold. They continually changed the date & times for pick up & delivery. Nice guys, but hard to understand. It was extremely frustrating. Regretfully, I do not recommend I would like a partial refund.

Hello Nancy, the only issue that was delaying your household moving job delivery was the hard time we had regarding receiving your due payment. Once we received your payment we immediately loaded your job and it was in transit to your delivery destination in Florida.

Long-distance move from Gladstone, NJ to Sarasota, FL

Poor communication and confusion of her payment.

While the workers worked very hard I found the people who were the back office support were not very helpful. They didn't make it clear that they would not payment That was non-trackable by the IRS. If they had only said that I would have known what kind of company I was dealing with. They would not let my inventory off the truck until I gave them cash in advance. I felt like I was held hostage. It was very difficult to speak with them as English is not their first language and I couldn't figure out what language I was trying to translate to.

Official company response

Hello Katherine,
Regarding your items, to protect our company from fraud, we must receive the due payment before offloading the items into your property. It is not a personal issue, it is just guidelines that we must follow as this is a business. Also, we have employees that speak fluent english, spanish, hebrew, and more. All you have to do is request to speak to another employee if you wish to do so.

Long-distance move from Greensburg, PA to Saratoga Springs, UT

CR7 was contracted by a brokerage company Trinity Moving and Storage to ship my 2 bedrooms of furniture, which exact measurements were give, and 9 boxes from PA to UT. CR 7 Movers came and said 286 cu ft was not accurate and I needed to pay an additional $3,500 when my binding contract was at $2,000 total. I had price quotes from 2 other moving companies and a POD company that gave me the same exact cubic footage on my move, so I believe my estimate was correct. I told Amar the truck driver to just leave and he refused. The 2 workers continued wrapping my furniture. We asked to talk with the Driver Amar's boss and he refused to give us the number and said his boss had more pressing matters to deal with. After going back and forth with the driver and the Trinity Moving Broker's customer service department, I agreed to pay and additional $1,000+ for my move. The packers did a good job wrapping my furniture but the Bait n Switch price situation was not right. My furniture was moved from a smaller truck to an 18 wheeler at least two times that I am aware of. This was not a good moving experience for such a small shipment and was very stressful.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $3302

Official company response

Hello Cheryl,

Your previous balance was increased due to the amount of cubic feet that your items covered within the vehicle when CR7 Moving & Storage LLC's employees finished loading it onto the truck. We have tried our best to accommodate the pricing up to the extent that we were able to.

NIGHTMARE!!!

NEVER USE THEM UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR ITEMS DESTROYED AND LOST. Wish I could rate negative stars. The worst experience of our lives. Total scam from start to finish. Price started at $4800 and turned into $12,000. Unpacked all items in dressers, drawers, and cabinets to pack in another box to fill more space in the truck and then charge you more because they brought too small of a truck. And that will be your fault. Destroyed 50% of our items in transit and lost THOUSANDS of $ of our items. How do you lose a whole dresser? Guitar amplifiers, computers, video game consoles and accessories all gone. CR7 DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS!! This is not a complaint for customer service. It's a public service announcement. I contacted customer service and I am still compiling a list to provide you and my lawyer. Either way you can't replace all the family heirloom from deceased relatives you friggin destroyed. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!! Can't have these negligent amateurs going around the country destroying everyone's personal items. Instead of hiring these con artists just drop your stuff in the highway. Same result.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $12000

Official company response

Prices are not charged by choice or non regulated decision. All prices are charged by cubic feet measurement within the space your items occupy in your designated delivery truck. If you have received damaged items you are able to be compensated with a reimbursement check by filing a claim. All you will have to do is request to file a claim via email.
